The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, September 16, 1975


Rexford Harold Lazarus, 72, of route 1, Nickleplate road, died early Tuesday 
morning at a nursing home at Adrian.  

Born April 17, 1903, in Calhoon county, he was the son of Joseph and Lucy 
Bushnell Lazarus and attended the Battle Creek public school.  He was a sheet 
metal journeyman and was also employed by the State of Michigan as store keeper 
at Jackson prison retiring in 1945.

He leaves two brothers, Clifford of Ionia and Lee of Maybee.

The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Hull Memorial chapel at Muir.  Rev. 
Richard Harrison of the Lyons Baptist church will officiate and interment will 
be at the Highland Park cemetery.
