L. Vohlers, 857 West Main street, after an illness of three months. Her husband, George B. Leach, preceded her in death by two years. She leaves five children, Mrs. E. L. Vohlers, Ionia; Charles and Ray Leach, Detroit; Mrs. L. Terry, Easton; Mrs. W. E. Celig, New Auburn, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Mrs. Leach was born in a home on the corner site on which the Reed Inn now stands, moving with her parents, Luther and Emily Carpenter, to the homestead north of Dildine corners at the age of five years. She was married to George R. Leach, January 1, 1872. They lived on the homestead until 1906, when they moved to Ionia. She has been a lifelong member of the Methodist Episcopal church. Funeral services will be held at the home of E. L. Vohlers, 857 West Main street, at 1:30 Saturday, December 24 and at 2 o’clock from the Stebbins funeral home. Burial will be in Easton cemetery.
