Gangrene set in from an infected corn on one of the toes on his right foot, making it necessary to amputate the toe about a week ago. Mr. Leach failed rapidly during the last two or three days. He was 73 years of age. Mr. Leach was born in Ohio and came to Michigan with his father when about 18 years of age. They settled on a farm near Long Lake, in Orleans township, where they lived for many years. More recently he lived on a farm near Shiloh. Mrs. Leach passed away about six years ago. Mr. Leach was married the second time to Mrs. Theodore Baxter of Palo, who survives him. He is also survived by four children, Mrs. Herbert Smith, of Woodard lake; Marvin Leach, of Greenville; Latham Leach, of Pentwater, and Ada Moodey, of Grandville. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. H.M. Hassett, of Portland, Ore. The funeral will be held at the Methodist Episcopal church in Fenwick Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock standard time. Burial will take place in Clear Lake cemetery.
