Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 13 Jun 1957

Mrs. Jennie L. Leak, 77, lifelong resident of Ionia county, died at 2:35 p.m.
Wednesday at Pennock hospital, Hastings, where she was admitted Tuesday night. 
She had been in ill health about 10 years.  Born January 20, 1880 in Sebewa, she
was a daughter of Mathew and Isabelle (Creighton) Knoll.  After her marriage to
Samuel Leak, they lived on their farm for a number of years and four years after
her husband’s death, 1933, she moved to Lake Odessa in 1937.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gilbert (Gladah) Brock of Florence, Calif.,
Mrs. Joe (Anna Belle) Vojteck of Midlothian, Ill., and Mrs. Ray (Lorraine)
Rogers of Lake Odessa; one sister, Mrs. Raymond Durkee of Williamston; one
brother, Curtis Knoll of Ionia, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The body is at the Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa, where funeral services
will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 3:30.  Interment will be in Lakeside
cemetery. The Rev. I.H. Osgood will officiate.
