The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, November 27, 1981

Zeno Leak, 75, of Route 2, Goddard Road, Lake Odessa, died Wednesday morning 
at his residence.  He was born January 18, 1906, in Sebewa, the son of Edwin 
and Hermena Bulling Leak.  He lived and farmed all his life in Sebewa Township.

After attending Goddard rural school, he entered Lake Odessa High School and 
graduated with the Class of 1927.  He was married to Doris Sherrard July 7, 
1934.  He was a member of the Sebewa Center United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Edwin and James, both of Lake Odessa; 
and one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Nancy) Dowker of Lake Odessa; and nine 
grandchildren.  Also surviving are two brothers, Maynard of Lansing and 
Maurice of Lake Odessa; and two sisters, Mrs. Naomi Gattner of Lansing and 
Mrs. Arle (Mildred) Aves of Portland.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Pickens-Koops Funeral 
Chapel, Lake Odessa, with the Rev. John Morse officiating.  Burial will be in 
East Sebewa Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 
4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  A memorial has been established for the Sebewa Center 
United Methodist Church, in care of the funeral chapel.
