Madge O. Leak, of East Lansing went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2009, at 
the age of 100.  She was born Nov. 8, 1908, in Lake Odessa, the daughter of 
Walter and Urah (Baine) Wortley.

Madge worked for 35 years for Maynard Leak Sales and Service and volunteered 
for 21 years at Ingham Medical Center.  She was a long-time member of 
Westminster Presbyterian Church, and the Westminster Women’s Group.  She was a 
graduate of Lake Odessa High School and Lansing Business University.  

Surviving are her son, Paul Walter Leak, Sr.; grandchildren, Mark Allen (Rene) 
Leak of DeWitt, Jamie Sue (Barry) Hobria of Lowell, and Paul Water Leak, II of 
Holly, great-grandchildren Abe Wilson, Dustin Leak, Jason Wilson, Jenny 
Wilson, Ben Leak, Brett Hobria, and Josh Hobria; great, great-grandchild, 
Jayden Wilson; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.  She was 
preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Maynard Leak; sisters, Mardie 
Edwins and Genevieve Moon.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 16, 2009 at the Estes-Leadley 
Greater Lansing Chapel.  Interment followed in Lakeside Cemetery, Lake 
Odessa.  Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian church 
or Sparrow Hospice Services.
