Her school life was spent in the Euper district. After finishing her schooling she remained at the home of her parents until her marriage to Edwin Leak of Sebewa township, December 30, 1896. They immediately started housekeeping on the farm where they resided at the time of her death. To this union were born six children, one daughter Thelma dying at birth. She was a faithful wife and mother and always greatly respected in the community. The main interest in her life was her home and family. She leaves to mourn her departure a devoted husband, two daughters, Mrs. Arlo Aves of Sebewa and Mrs. Dolph Gattner of Lansing, and three sons, Maynard of Lansing and Maurice and Zeno at home, seven grandchildren besides a host of relatives and friends. A few who have watched me sail away Will miss my craft from the busy hay: Some friendly harques that were anchored near, Some loving souls that may heart held dear In silent sorrow will drop a tear But I will have peacefully furled my sail In moorings sheltered from storm or gale, And greeted the friends who have sailed before O'er the Unknown Sea to the Unknown Shore. -Card of Thanks- We wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for the flowers and also the many acts of kindness shown during the illness and death of our beloved wife and mother. Edwin Leak, Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Aves and family, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Leak, Maurice Leak, Mr. and Mrs. Dolph Gattner and family, Mr. and Mrs. Zeno Leak and family.
