Mrs. Mary Leak Dies at Age of 84
Mrs. Mary Sexton Leak, 84, died Wednesday morning at her residence following a 
long illness. She was born May 9, 1864 in Ionia county and had been a resident 
of the village for about thirty five years coming here from Sebewa. She was a 
member of the Congregational Church and Allie Lepard division. Mrs.Leak has been 
an invalid for the past three years.

Surviving are two daughters Mrs.Maud Oles, Hesperia, and Mrs Zella Hazzard of 
Lake Odessa, one son Verne Sexton of Lansing, one sister Mrs Jessie Kenyon of 
Lansing, one brother Ed Baldwin of Ionia, sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great-
grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m at the Pickens Chapel with 
burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. A.J. Pitman will officiate.
