A daughter of the late Frances and John Monks, pioneers in Boston Township, Mrs. Leary was a lifelong resident of the Waterville community, and died on a farm adjoining the one on which she was born 63 years ago. Her mother died when she was four years of age. Funeral services will be held from the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with Rev. Humphrey, of the Saranac Congregational church, officiating. Interment will be in the Saranac cemetery. Surviving with her husband are one son, Leslie Leary, of Lowell; five daughters, Mrs. Roy Vandenburg, of Kalamazoo; Mrs. George R. Banhagel, of Ionia; Mrs. Ernest Davis and Mrs. Andrew Fox, of Detroit, and Mrs. Arthur Cahoon, of Saranac; her foster-mother, Mrs. Emma Monks of Saranac; a half- sister, Mrs. Oscar Christie, of Detroit, and a half-brother, Herbert Monks of Flint.
