Kathleen H. (Loper) Leddick, 88, formerly of Ionia, passed away Saturday 
afternoon, Aug. 17, 2013, at Winter Haven, Fla., after a long illness.

Katie graduated from Belding High School then moved to Ionia after marrying 
Donald J Leddick on Jan. 10, 1947.  They purchased the Boynton Funeral Home 
there in 1966 and shortly afterwards re-named it the Leddick Funeral Home.  In 
1987, they sold the business and retired to Florida.  Katie was a member of St. 
John's Lutheran Church in Ionia, then Grace Lutheran Church in Winter Haven.

Katie is loved and survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald, and her 
daughters Terrie (Ken) Brownell, Debbie (Mike) Gessert, Claire (John) 
Gallagher.  Also grandchildren Kevin (Lori) Brownell, Jeff (Cory) Gessert, 
Justin Brownell, Joseph Gallagher, Jenna (Aaron) Spadoni, David (Jenny) 
Gallagher, Andrew Gallagher, and one great-granddaughter, Tessa Gallagher.  
Also one sister, Joyce (James) Boss and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.  Memorial services and a 
celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Ionia.
