Ledger, postmaster of Belding since 1938, died in the Belding city hospital Monday. Postmaster Lodger was stricken in his automobile as he was starting for Grand Rapids. He was born in Sand Lake and attended Davenport-McLachlan business school in Grand Rapids. He was married to Lucille Bradford of Sand Lake in 1922 and the couple moved to Belding that year. Before his appointment as postmaster, Mr. Ledger had operated a retail meat and coal business in Belding. He was a member of Hugh Fales Post, American Legion, and of the Congregational church. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Julie Lou, three brothers, Victor and Lester of Howard City and Harry of Cedar Springs, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Peck of Grand Rapids. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.
