Basil A. Ledsworth, 57, of Orleans, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at his home.
 He was born Sept. 7, 1945, in Yale, the son of Basil and Dorothy Coombs
Ledsworth.  On Aug. 1, 1964, he married Eva Mae Ledsworth in Ionia.  He was a
long-time resident of the Shiloh area and was employed at Extruded Metals, Belding.

He is survived by a daughter, Tammy Sue Smith and Rod Palethorpe of Ionia; three
grandchildren, Michael, Kevin and Tanya Smith; one great-granddaughter, Taylor;
two sisters, Joyce and Paul DeJohn of Port Huron and Kathy Ledsworth of Marine
City.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mae Ledsworth on Aug. 9, 1996;
and a sister, Bernice Wagner.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Community Church, Orleans, with
the Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  Interment is in Otisco Cemetery, Belding.
 The family is being service by Stebbins and Simpson Funeral Home, Sheridan.
