He had reached the top rung of the ladder of the silo when it broke. Mr. Lee lost his hold and fell backward to the bottom of the silo. He struck against the cement foundation and fractured his skull, broke his neck and jaw. Mr. Lee was killed on the farm on which he was born. He had always resided there, with the exception of a few years. The deceased is survived by the widow and three daughters, Mrs. Olive Bieri, of Alto; Miss Frances Lee and Mrs. Joy Weeks, of Lowell; four grandchildren and one great grandson; two brothers, Reuben, of South Boston and Homer, of near Alto and eight sisters, Mrs. Lula Layer, Mrs. Ernest Colby, Miss Ella Lee, Miss Fannie Lee, Mrs. Roy Chambers, Mrs. Charles Billinger, Mrs. Ransom Vaughn and Mrs. Honor Chambers. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock at his home and at 2:30 from the Methodist church at Bowne Center. Rev. Francis Ham conducted the service and interment was in the Bowne Center cemetery. The vicinity extend their deepest sympathy to the bereaved family in their sudden loss.
