The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, October 24, 1921

Saranac, October 24.—Fred Lee of Saranac, prominent in this community, is dead 
following a month’s illness.  He was 68 years old and had lived in this 
community for 17 years, coming here from Keene as a retired farmer.  He leaves 
his widow and two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Goodell of Keene and Mrs. Clare 
Wilkinson of Lansing.  The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 
o’clock from the home.
