Wave, Thursday, Feb. 9, 1978 Rites Held For Nellie Leece, age 92, of Clarksville passed away Monday evening, February 6 at the Ionia Manor. She had been in ill health for about 6 months and a patient at the Manor about three weeks. She was born in Maple Plain, Minnesota, January 17, 1886, the daughter of Wallace and Dora Stinson. In 1906 she was united in marriage to Riley Leece of Clarksville, at Maple Plain, Minnesota. He preceded her in death in 1942. They made their home in International Falls, Minnesota until 1928 when they came to Clarksville to live. Mrs. Leece was a member of the Clarksville Wesleyan Church. Survivors include one son, Glen Leece of Clarksville, two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Cusack and Mrs. Fern Agostini of Ionia; sixteen grandchildren; forth-nine great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren, also one brother, Louis Stinson of Maple Plain, Minnesota and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Thursday (today0 at 2 p.m. at the Clarksville Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in the Clarksville Cemetery. Rev. Arthur Ruder will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clarksville Wesleyan Church. Envelopes are available at Pickens-Koops funeral Chapel in Clarksville.
