Excerpts from Obituary:
LORAINE LEFURGE of Grand Rapids
Died October 29, 2017-age 85 at Grand Rapids.
Born September 6, 1932 to John & Beulah (Bennett) Mellstead at Portland, MI.
Graduated from Portland High School in 1950.
Trained as a registered nurse at St. Lawrence Hospital, Lansing, graduating in 
1953 & continued working at St. Lawrence Hospital.
Married Harold LeFurge Jr. at Portland Methodist Church on January 16, 1954.
They shared 55 years of marriage before he died Harold 2009.
They lived in the Waverly area of Lansing, raising six children.
Moved to Wyoming in 1978. Loraine was diagnosed with lung cancer in 1978. 
Volunteered with the American Red Cross for 25 years.
Visitation Friday, November 10, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday Nov. 11, 10-11 a.m. at 
Christ Lutheran Church, Wyoming,MI. The memorial service will follow.
