Lehman, well known Westphalia township farmer residing one mile north and six miles east of Portland, died in the Ionia hospital Monday morning, where he had been confined since last Friday. Funeral services were held today at St. Mary’s church in Westphalia and burial made in the cemetery in that village. Mr. Lehman was born in Westphalia over 70 years ago and has spent his entire lifetime there. Last Friday he made a business trip to Ionia and was stricken with a heart attack while walking along the street. He is survived by two sons and seven daughters, Bernard, Hubert, and Mrs. Edd Miller of Westphalia; Mrs. Frank Esch, of Hubbardston; Mrs. Bernard Hoppes and Mrs. William Hoppes of Portland, Mrs. J. Turner of Detroit,; Mrs. George Lehman of Alma, and Frances of Lansing. Allie Lehman of Portland, is a brother.
