The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, March 26, 2009

Gordon Lehman, age 89, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009.  He was born on 
January 26, 1920, in Ionia, the son of Theodore and Hazel (Robertson) Lehman. 

Mr. Lehman was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church of Ionia and an 
apple grower for more than 55 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving 
in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, 
Gladys (Burge) Lehman in 2002. 

He is survived by his children, Christine (Chris) Rauser of Highland Park, IL, 
David Lehman of Grand Rapids, Keverne Lehman of Grand Rapids, Donald (Bonnie) 
Lehman of Ionia, and Margo (Mark) Moore of Kabul, Afghanistan; 10 
grandchildren, Peter and Mark Rauser, Rebecca (Joe) Palmer, Richard and 
Caroline Lehman, Julie, Matthew and Kimberly Lehman, and Melanie and Laura 
Moore. 

The family will be available to meet with friends between 2-4 p.m. Saturday, 
March 28, 2009 at the First Christian Church of Ionia. A private graveside 
service will be held at a later date at Highland Park Cemetery in Ionia. 
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Ionia or 
to the American Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are entrusted to the 
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Ionia.
