Thomas Lehman Dies at Ionia

Thomas F. Lehman, 73, of Ionia, passed away at the Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital.

He was born in Ionia County near Lake Odessa, February 2, 1901, the son of Lewis 
and Mary (Schnabel) Lehman and had attended the Carr School and was engaged in 
farming in his earlier years.

September 25, 1926, he married Helen Kyrwanski at the S.S. Peter and Paul Church 
in Ionia and made their home at Ionia.

Mr. Lehman was employed by the Mitchell-Bentley Crop and later by the city of 
Ionia before his retirement in 1963. He was a member of the SS Peter and Paul 
Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Amata Scheid, rural Belding; a brother; 
Lewis, rural Lake Odessa and three sisters, Gertrude, Julia and Therese of 
Ionia.

Funeral services were held last Tuesday, July 30 at the SS Peter and Paul Church 
at Ionia with burial in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
