Ionia Sentinel Standard, 4 Sep 1981

Hilda Leik, 75, of 127 Quarterline St., Portland, died Thursday at her home.  
She was born March 8, 1906 in Westphalia, the daughter of John Pung and Lena 
Pasche.  Her husband Jerry, preceded her in death Dec. 20, 1969.  She was a 
member of the Portland St. Patrick’s altar society.

Surviving are four sons, James J. Leik, of Notre Dame, Ind., David Leik, of 
Harbor Springs, Russell Leik, of Wausau, Wis., Daniel Leik, of Portland; a 
daughter, Jeanette Leik, of Grand Rapids; 12 grandchildren; and two sisters, 
Catherine Stratz, of Lansing, and Regena Thelen, of Westphalia.

Rosary will be today at 8 p.m., at the Neller Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will 
be Saturday at 10 a.m. from St. Patricks’ Catholic Church, with the Rev. Donald 
Weber officiating.  Burial will be in Portland Cemetery.
