Sentinel-Std. - Monday, Dec. 22, 1969

Jerry A. Leik, 70, of 127 Quarterline, Portland, died, died Saturday at St. 
Lawrence hospital in Lansing. He was born June 2, 2899 in Portland township 
and was a retired farmer.

Surviving besides his wife, Hilda, are four sons, Brother James Leik, CSC, 
of Holy Cross junior college, Notre Dame, Ind., David A. of Ypsilanti, 
Russell L. of Madison, and Daniel G. of Portland; daughter, Jeanette Leik of 
Grand Rapids; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Sister Ethelreda, SSJ, of 
Nazareth school, Kalamazoo, Mrs. Marie Slowinski of Portland; two brothers, 
Henry M. Leik and George E. Leik both of Portland.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic church 
in Portland, Fr. Stephen Kolenic will officiate and interment will be at 
Portland Cemetery.

Rosary will be recited at 7 pm Monday at Neller funeral home in Portland.
