Dennis James Leik, 36, of Lyons, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, Feb.22, 2015.
 He was born on Dec. 12, 1978 in Ionia, Michigan, the son of Daniel and Sally
(Breimayer) Leik.

Denny was a life long farmer, which he made his life’s passion, and also worked
for Goose Creek Foundation.  He enjoyed hunting, spending time in the woods,
especially cutting wood.  Denny’s girls meant the world to him.

Preceding him in death were his brother, Danny David; grandparents, Jerry and
Hilda Leik, and Andrew and Esther Breimeyer.  Surviving are his wife of 10
years, Amanda; daughters, Kelsey, Emily and Elaine; parents, Daniel and Sally
Leik; siblings, Patty (Rich) Luttman, Christina (Darin) Roll, Tonya Leik, John
(Lynn) Leik, and Janet (Tim) Richardson; several nieces and nephews; father and
mother-in-law, John (Mary) Peckins; in-laws, Michael (April) Peckins, Shelly
(Craig) Corbeil and Melissa (Cory) Ackerson.  

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Larry King at 11:00
a.m., Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland.  Rite
of Committal will take place at a later date in Keefer Cemetery.  The family
will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the
church.  In Lieu of Flowers, an Education Fund has been established for Denny’s
daughters at Independent Bank.  Memorial contributions may be made directly to
the bank or through the funeral home, in memory of Dennis Leik.  Arrangements
are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
