                      FALL FROM BIKE FATAL TO CHILD
       Funeral Service Thursday, August 22, For William Leiter, 5

William James Leiter, five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Leiter, of 
RFD 4, Ionia, died at the Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, Tuesday 
morning, August 19. He was taken to the hospital late Monday afternoon.

William fell from his bicycle Saturday afternoon onto the pavement but did 
not seem to feel any effects from it until Sunday, when he complained of an 
earache and then went into convulsions.

He is survived by his parents; and five brothers and sisters, Velma, 
Shirley, Marlene, Johnnie, and Stanley; his grandparents, Mr. Glenn Leiter, 
of Muskegon, and Mrs. Florence Battles, of Clare. 

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 23, at the Myers Funeral 
Home at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Charles Warner will officiate and burial will be in 
Balcom Cemetery.
