Ionia Sentinel Standard - April 2010


Geraldine C. Leland, 72 of Orleans, passed away at Phoebe 7, Putney Memorial 
Hospital in Albany, Ga., Sunday April 18, 2010.

She was born Aug. 16, 1937. She was married July 7, 1956 in Orleans to Roland 
D. Leland.

She is survived by her husband; their children, Paul Matthew Leland of Orleans, 
Patricia A. Bennett of Orleans, Polly D. Marsh of Orleans, Roland D. Leland Jr. 
of Anchorage, Ala., Peter J. Leland of Belding and Richard G. Leland of 
Orleans; one sister, Dora (Elmer) Jones of Ionia; one brother, Francis (Sheila) 
Dolley of Caledonia; several in-laws, 10 grandchildren and seven great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both parents, one son, three brothers and two 
sisters.

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010, at Shiloh Community 
Church with Pastor Ken Harger. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 
before the service. There will be a luncheon following.
