LEMKE, MRS. RUBY L. (COCHRUN):
   SENTINEL-STANDARD, Ionia, MI, Tuesday, March 14, 2000, page 2:  "Obituaries -
Mrs. Ruby L. Lemke, 84, of Ionia, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2000, at the
Laurels of Fulton in Perrinton.
   Ruby Lucille Babcock was born March 25, 1915, in Belding, the daughter of
Charles and Ella (Cochrun) Babcock.
   She grew up in Belding and graduated from Belding School.  During her school
years, Ruby also worked for a doctor and helped take care of his house and
children.  She was married May 1, 1937, in Grand Rapids to Delbert Lemke.  The
couple worked for AC Spark Plug during WWII.  Ruby was a life-long member of
Zion United Methodist Church.
   Mrs. Lemke is survived by two sons, Eugene (Lea) Lemke of Ionia and Clare A.
Lemke of Lake Odessa; one daughter, Kathryn (Fred) Young of Ionia; five
grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and dear friends Wayne and Nancy Kenyon
of Ionia.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delbert in 1991; two
sisters and two brothers.
   Funeral services for Mrs. Lemke will be held Thursday, March 16, 2000 at 11
a.m. from the Zion United Methodist Church, Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger
officiating.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
   Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 8:30 p.m.
from Cook Funeral Home, Rich Street Chapel, Ionia.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church
Memorial fund for the Ionia County Commission on Aging.  Envelopes are available
at the church and at Cook Funeral Home."
