The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, November 9, 1968
Mrs. Hattie Harriette Lemke, 92, of 225 West Lincoln, died Friday noon at 
Ionia Manor where she had been a patient since August 30.  She was born in 
Canada, September 17, 1876.  August 29, 1900 she was married in Ionia to 
Herman C. Lemke.  A member of the Zion United Methodist church, she had also 
belonged to the Pleasant Hills club over 30 years.

Besides her husband Herman, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. D. B. VanNornum; three 
sons, Delbert of Ionia, Fred of Bangor and Harold of Grand Rapids; 12 
grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Lemke will be at Stone-Kauffman funeral home until Tuesday noon when she 
will be taken to Zion United Methodist church were services will be at 2 p.m. 
Rev. Chester J. Erickson will officiate and burial will be at Highland Park 
cemetery.  A memorial has been established for the church.

Subsequent Publication:  Thursday, November 14, 1968

Rev. Chester J. Erickson officiated at funeral services Tuesday at Zion United 
Methodist church for Mrs. Hattie Harriette Lemke, who died Friday.  Interment 
was at Highland Park cemetery.

Bearers were Richard, Clare and Eugene Lemke, Donald Funkey, Fred Young and 
Craig Stackus.

Relatives attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lemke of South Haven; 
Fred Lemke and Sylvia of Bangor; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lemke, Richard, Sue, Ann, 
Bruce, Brian and Beth, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Zander all of Grand Rapids; Craig, 
Cheryl, Leslie and Kevin Stakus of Boyne City; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Young and 
Clare Lemke.
