Clare A. Lemke, age 57, of Ionia, passed away December 24, 2007 in Ionia.  He 
was born May 17, 1950 in Ionia the son of Delbert and Ruby (Babcock) Lemke. 
Clare was a graduate of Ionia High School class of 1968. He worked for St. 
Johns Episcopal Church, Vincents Greenhouse and Herbrucks - Sunny Fresh. He 
was in the Michigan National Guard from 1970 - 1977.

Clare is survived by his stepchildren Krista Heaton of Belding and Brian 
Collier of Greenville; brother, Eugene (Leatrice) Lemke of Ionia; sister, 
Katherine (Fred) Youngs of Ionia; special friend, Eva May Steer; five nieces 
and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by 
his parents and stepson Brennan.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at St. Johns Episcopal 
Church in Ionia with Father John Crean officiating. The family will receive 
friends and relatives Saturday 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. 
Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. In lieu of flowers memorial 
contributions may be made to Clare's family.
