A Sad Death.

Agent Lemley’s Wife Died Here Friday – Buried at Hubbardston Tuesday.

Bessie beloved wife of John Lemley, the new agent at the p. m. depot, departed
this life on Friday last after an illness of only eight days.  Aged 27 years, 4
months and 23 days.

Mrs. Lemley came here only a few days prior to her death to assist her husband
in selecting a house in which they might move from Greenville here.  She was
taken with pneumonia and after her short illness passed to her last sleep, at
the residence of Mr. Kruger in the last ward.

Of a kind and loving disposition, Mrs. Lemley won her way into the hearts of all
who had known her, and her mother in speaking of her said, “she spent her life
in doing good to others.”  Besides her sadly bereaved husband she leaves a
little daughter six years of age to miss the watchful care of a devoted mother.

The remains were taken to Hubbardston on Monday for interment.
