Services for Lawrence Lemmen, 58, who died Thursday at 6 a.m. at Butterworth 
hospital after being a patient there for two days, were conducted at the First 
Methodist church Saturday at 3 p.m.  Dr. Howard A. Smith, pastor, officiated 
assisted by the Rev. F. G. Dunbar of Grand Rapids, former minister at the 
Methodist church.

Mrs. Dale Rosecrance was organist.  In charge of flowers were Mrs. Margaret 
Hawley and Mrs. Francis V. Witherspoon.

Honorary bearers were A. V. S. Wright and Clark Dye.  Bearers were Charles 
Lewis, Richard Hawley, Oswald Kosbar, Francis Witherspoon, Frank Dalton and 
John Toutenhoold.

The graveside services at Balcom cemetery were in charge of Ionia lodge, F. and 
A. M., which attended in a group.

Relatives from away were Mr. and Mrs. John Lemmen, Cyrus Nelson and Mr. and 
Mrs. H. B. Lemmen of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Lemmen and daughter 
Gwendolyn, Mrs. Raymond B. Lemmen, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Lemmen, Mr. and Mrs. 
Lawrence Nyland, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Nyland, Mr. and Mrs. John Nyland and Mr. and 
Mrs. Henry Strabbing of Holland; Mr. and Mrs. Luther Lawrence of Birmingham; 
Mr. and Mrs. George B. Lemmen and daughter, Sherry, of Detroit; Garrett 
Muipkens of Mt. Pleasant; and the Rev. and Mrs. Wayne Lemmen of Atwood and Mr. 
and Mrs. Herman Strabbing and daughter of Battle Creek.

Out-of-town friends present were Dr. and Mrs. F. W. Dalton of Ann Arbor; Mr. 
and Mrs. Clark J. Dye and Valerie of Flushing; John Mathews of Grand Ledge; 
Roger Allen, Bruce Timmer and Mr. and Mrs. William Smith of Grand Rapids; Mr. 
and Mrs. Charles Lewis of Portland; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Magoon and Mr. and Mrs. 
Fred Meijers of Greenville; Russell Kraai of Holland; and Mr. and Mrs. Dallas 
Chapman and Bill and Mrs. C. C. Back and Clare of Lansing.
