Lenardson, 70, Hopkins, died Friday, April 16, 1999 at Metropolitan Hospital, Grand Rapids. Mr. Lenardson was born May 5, 1928 in Allegan, the son of Harry and Pauline (Smith) Lenardson. Surviving are his wife Rose; nine children, Terry Lenardson of Grand Rapids, Tom and Lorraine Lenardson of New York, and their mother, Darlene Beard of Grand Rapids, Russell and Louann Davis of Dorr, Randy and Marie Davis of Hopkins, Darlene and Rick Rodriquez of Charlotte, Kimberley Covert and her fiancé, Dean Wright, of Ionia, Lynn and Dale MacArthur of Sault Ste. Marie, Darrell and Saudia Petersen of Ionia, Tracie and Timothy Haney of Ionia; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters, Albert Lenardson of Dowagiac, Raymond “Johnny” Lenardson of Allegan, Robert and Wilma Lenardson of Indiana, Frank Kuhr of Detroit, Rosemary and Reuben Damaske of California, Ruth and Sam Koch of Nevada, Alice Hurteau of Grand Rapids; cousins, Mabel Raymond, and Wilma and Jim Christopoulos, all of Grand Rapids; two sisters-in-law, Wilma Lenardson and Ruth Runyan both of Florida, and many good friends. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Hoyt, three brothers and one sister, George, LeRoy and Frank Lenardson, and Helen Kuhr. In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will greet friends today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m., at the Easton United Methodist Church, Ionia, with Chaplain Tom Reaume officiating. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Easton United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
