Mr. Lenhard at the time of his death was a member of the Clarksville village council. He was one time a Republican candidate for the office of county clerk in Ionia county. Surviving are the widow, Glenna, his father, John Lenhard, Elmdale, and one brother, H. L. Lenhard of Howell. He was born May 4, 1877, in Kent county. When four years old he moved to Clarksville with his parents. He lived in that vicinity until his death. He married Miss Glenna Huggins of Carson city in 1908. At that time she was a teacher in the Clarksville schools. He was Clarksville’s oldest resident at the time of his death.
