Ionia Sentinel Standard, 27 May 1940

Mrs. Jacob Lenhard, 74, prominent Clarksville resident, died at her home Sunday
evening, May 26.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29, at 2:30 p.m.
from her home. 

For many years, Mrs. Lenhard and her husband were proprietors of the Lenhard
hotel in Clarksville.  They retired from this work some time before his death in
1935.  She had been active in the Order of the Eastern Star, Rebekah lodge, past
noble grand and was active in the work of the Congregational church and the
organizations within the church.  She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Rittinger of Bowne township in Kent county.  She was a life-long resident of
Clarksville. 

Surviving are two sons, Ray of Clarksville, Lloyd of Royal Oak, and two
grandchildren, Lola May and Billy.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in Clarksville Cemetery.]
