The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, April 11, 1958


Mrs. Zoe Rebecca Leonard, 58, of route 1, Ionia, died Thursday afternoon at 
Ionia County Memorial hospital where she had been a patient for three weeks.

She was born February 11, 1900 in Maple Rapids, the daughter of Frank and 
Elizabeth (Sparks) Terwilliger.  May 24, 1930 she was married to Cecil Leonard 
in Elmwood, Ill.  Two years after their marriage they moved to Ionia county.  
They have lived at their present residence for 21 years.  Mrs. Leonard was a 
member of the Lyons Baptist church.

Surviving besides her husband are a son, Ovol of Palo; a daughter, Mrs. Arlan 
(Eunice) Bartlett of St. Louis; one brother, Sam Terwilliger of Grand Ledge, 
and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home with the 
Rev. Elmer G. Ubbink officiating.  Interment is to be in Highland Park cemetery.
