Leaves Husband, Son and Daughter and Three Sisters. The friends of Mrs. Florence Lepard were greatly surprised to hear of her death Sunday evening. She had suffered a stroke only a few days before. Mrs. Lepard was 64, and the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clark, who were prominent residents of Lake Odessa’s pioneer days. She was born here and married here to Shirley Lepard. They resided here until about twenty years ago when they moved to Grand Ledge where the husband had secured work. Recent years, however, he has been employed in the McCartney store as before going to Grand Ledge. Mrs. Lepard leaves besides her husband, a son Keith of Philadelphia, a daughter Maurene, at home, her aged father at Hastings, three sisters, Mrs. Zella Olmstead of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Josei Koch of Clare, and Mrs. Greta Perkins of Hastings. The funeral was held at the local Methodist church, Wednesday afternoon, where she held her membership. Rev. Leon W. Manning officiated and Mrs. William C. McCartney and Leon Gilson accompanied by Mrs. Marinus Hoffs furnished the music. Burial was at Lakeside cemetery.
