          IVAN LAVERN LEPARD
   LAKE ODESSA -- Ivan Lavern Lepard, 87, formerly of Lake Odessa, died Monday in
the Barry County Medical Facility where he had been a patient for several years.
   He was born Aug. 14, 1897, in Lake Odessa, the son of Lafayette and Rachel Bell
Lepard.  He graduated from Lake Odessa High School in 1918 and attended Michigan State 
University and farmed most of his life in the Lake Odessa area.
   He is survived by two brothers, Sherman Lepard of Caledonia and Dr. Olin Shepard
of Sturgis, nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Green and Clara Hesterly.
   Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake
Odessa, with the Rev. James Hulett officiating.
   Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home
Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m..
