Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday May 11, 1950

Mrs. Lafe Lepard Dies Unexpectedly
Mrs. Lafe Lepard 78, died at her home Friday evening. Although in ill health, 
death came unexpectedly. Mrs.Lepard the former Rachel Bell was born in Odessa 
township February 8, 1872 and had resided in this community all her life, moving 
to town from their farm several years ago.

She was a member of the Evangelical U.B. Church. Surviving are her husband, 
Lafe, a daughter Mrs.Chester Hesterly of Lake Odessa, three sons, Ivan and 
Sherman of Grand Rapids and Dr.Olin of Sturgis, thirteen grand and ten great 
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Evangelical U.B.Church with burial in 
Lakeside Cemetery. Rev. O.L.Heltzel officiated.
