Born in Hastings, Michigan on September 15, 1955, Cindy was a beloved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. Cindy grew up in Lake Odessa and graduated from Haslett High School. A beautiful singer with a strong love for God, she ministered with her family gospel group, the Lepard Family, to churches across the state .She was a funny, sweet and loving person who brought joy to the live of everyone who knew her. Despite overcoming great personal hardships, she had a passion for caring for those who could not care for themselves.She volunteered at retirement facilities, and also dedicated much of her time to advocating for the rights of the mentally ill. She is survived by her sons, Duke (Michelle)Kimball, Nicholas Kimball, and Samuel Bell; her granddaughter Evelyn Kimball; her mother, Joan Eileen (Kenneth) McIntyre; and her siblings,Debbie (Steve) Zynda, John (Emily) Lepard, and Lisa (Jerry) Rose. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Lepard. A celebration of Cindy's life will be held at New Hope Church in East Lansing on Friday April 12 at 11 a.m, with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, her family is asking for donations to be made in her name to an organization she partnered with for years, the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI).
