Mr. Leper has been a resident here for 50 years, driving here with an ox team from New York state. Before the railroad was run north he drove between Ionia and Sheridan taking up provisions and bringing back shingles. Mr. Lepper leaves four sons and one daughter, two of whom, Mrs. James McGeary and Alden reside here. The funeral will be held from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. McGeary, 418 Baldie street, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. M. M. Callen officiating.
