She was born on Sept. 20, 1927 in Belding the daughter of Ivan Sr. and Thelma Wood Simmons. Wanda was preceded by her parents and her husband Gordon Leppink in 1991. On May 30, 1992 in Belding she married Fran Rivard. Wanda felt called by Our Lord in planting the seed for the new property and school building of Faith Community Christian School. She worked hard and gave countless hours in promoting the school and the value of Christian education. The school stands as a testimony to Wanda's hard work and dedication. Wanda was very active in the Belding Community, being a member of the Thimble Club, Shiloh Community Church, the Euchre Club, Goodfellowship Club and the Restless Ones Camping Group. She was also active in the Belding Library and the Belding Museum. Wanda graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1945 and organized the monthly get-togethers that she and her classmates so enjoyed. Wanda and Fran also delivered Meals on Wheels for the Ionia County Commission on Aging. Wanda could always be counted on to help out. She enjoyed giving of her time and talents to the school, her church and the community. She had a great love of her family and friends and enjoyed school events with grandchildren. Her unending faith and love of serving our Lord is an inspiration for her family to continue on. She will be greatly missed. Wanda is survived by her husband Fran of Belding; her children, Marsha (Roger) Anthony, Susan (Randy) Brownell and Mary (Kort) Warner all of Belding and Fran's children, Sherry (Robert) Mountney of Greenville and Janess (Bruce) Braman of Belding. Wanda is also survived by her grandchildren, Leslie, Alisha, Angela, Amy and her husband, J. Lambrecht; Fran's grandchildren, Adrienna, Angela, Vanessa, Robert and Connie, her great-grandson, John, Fran's great-grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Derick and Kaitlynn; her brother and sister- in-law and their families, Ivan Jr. and Sandra Simmons of Belding and Gordon's brothers and their spouses, Ken and Betsy Leppink of Shelby, Bob and Deloris Leppink of Belding; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many longtime friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Private interment will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
