Greta Lesky, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 after a long 
illness.  She was born on December 10, 1921 in Ionia, MI the daughter of 
Ernest and Leta (Petersen) Wheeler. 

Mrs. Lesky was married to Albert Lesky on February 18, 1942 in Alexandria, LA 
and together they shared 56 years of marriage. Greta and Albert lived in Ionia 
their entire life until their retirement in 1976 and in 1978 they moved to 
Palmetto, FL.  She graduated from Ionia High School in 1940. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Lesky on March 31, 
1998; sister, Evelyn Borup in 2002. Surviving are 2 sons, Dennis Lesky of 
Ionia and Gary Lesky of Lyons; grandchildren, Dawn Reisbig, Michael Lesky and 
Matthew Lesky, all of Ionia; sister, Doris Gillson of Hubbardston; special 
friends who took care of Greta in Florida after her husband's passing, Dick 
and Conie Hofer of Bradenton, FL and Anne, Martin, and Kim at Gibbs AFC-Ionia 
who took care of Greta after she returned from Florida. 

The Memorial Service will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Harger, Pastor of 
Shiloh Community Church at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2004 at the Schrauben-
Lehman Funeral Home, Cook Chapel, 220 Rich St., Ionia. Interment of Mrs. 
Lesky's ashes will take place in the Spring at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 
Augusta, MI. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the 
Alzheimer's Association or to the Gibb's AFC, in memory of Mrs. Greta Lesky.
