Ionia Sentinel, 1 Nov 1944

Mrs. Phebe J. Leslie, 63, widow of Irving Leslie of Ionia, died Tuesday 
afternoon in Harper hospital, Detroit, after an illness of nearly five years.  
She was born in Rochester, N.Y. March 3, 1881.

Funeral arrangements were made in Detroit.  Burial will be in Easton cemetery 
Thursday afternoon at 1 o’clock ??? with the Rev. Dwight M. K??ch, pastor of 
First Methodist church, officiating.

Survivors are one son, Paul Leslie in Ionia; two daughters, Miss M?? Leslie of 
Detroit and Mrs. Roy Parish? of Charlotte; one granddaughter, Mrs. Anna Marie 
Hammond, of Jackson and one grandson, Petty Officer Gayle Edwin Leslie, serving 
with the navy Seabees in the Hawaiian islands.

Mrs. Leslie had spent most of her life in Ionia.  Her husband Irving Leslie 
died here in January, 1935.

Floral offerings may be taken to the Boynton funeral home Thursday afternoon.
