The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 16, 1959

Word was received from the American Red Cross in Stratford, Conn. ff the death 
of Mrs. Ida Gooby Lessor, a former resident of Ionia, who was fatally burned 
Saturday night in a serious fire in Stratford.

She is survived by a grandson, Matthew Gooby, Jr., stationed with the United 
States Army in Texas.
