Lester, wife of A. M. Lester, of Orleans, July 2, 1885. The deceased was born November 18, 1832,, in Washington county, Pennsylvania and removed in infancy with her parents to Ohio, where she resided until she was 21 years of age. About this time she was married to A. M. Lester and afterwards removed to Coldwater, Michigan. Later they came to Ionia county, where they have since resided. Her husband, two sons and a daughter survive her. A son and the daughter came nearly 300 miles to be with her when she passed away. Mrs. Lester was a faithful wife, a good neighbor and a lovable woman. She as a member of the United Brethren church and took a very active part both in the church and Sunday school work. She was an earnest Christian and died rejoicing in her Savior and urging her family and friends to meet her in heaven. Her death, like her life, was triumphant evidence of the truth of the religion of Christ.
