   Excerpts from Saranac Obituary

           BRUCE LESTER

Died November 24, 2025-age 90 of Saranac.
Born July 9, 1935 in Lansing, son of Orno & Florence (Friend) Lester.
Bruce married Carol Andersen August 26, 1977.
He loved sports & was a true fanatic, watching Detroit teams, coaching sports & 
playing softball.
Also enjoyed working outdoors, doing yard work or fishing.
Survived by his wife, Carol Lester of Saranac, Children; Kimberly (Charles 
Vogt)Lester-Nelson of Minnesota, Beverly (Brad Lehnert)Lester of Lake Odessa
,Tara Smith of Saranac & Denise (Tim) Ward of Hubbardston, Jeff (Joanne)Schultz 
of Clarksville & Alan (Tammy) Shultz of Saranac. Several grandchildren & great-
grandchildren, Sister Connie Hall of North Carolina.
Preceded in death by sister, Cindy Cassidy, Son Shawn Hall, Son-in-law Larry 
Smith.
Cremation has taken place, A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 
1, at 12:00 pm at Galilee Baptist Church, 291 Orchard St., Saranac with Pastor 
Ryan Morter officiating.
Visitation will be Monday from 10a.m. until time of services at the church. A 
Luncheon will follow.
Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Ionia Area Hospice.
