Funeral services for Mrs. John Letts, 58, who died at her home on West Main
street Sunday afternoon following an illness of four weeks, will be held
Tuesday, April 15, at 2 p.m. at the Boynton funeral home.  Rev. F. G. Dunbar
will officiate and interment will be at Elsie cemetery.  Born August 7, 1882 in
Gratiot county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Swarthout, she was married
October 9, 1901 to John Letts at Ovid.  The couple lived for a year at Durand,
for 11 years at Elsie and for the past 28 years in Ionia.

Surviving are the husband, John; one daughter, Mrs. LaMar Morey of South Ionia;
two sons Roland and Paul, of Ionia; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Roy
Meaurer of Detroit, Mrs. Harry Brainard of Alma and Mrs. Milo Munson of Elsie;
and six brothers, Jesse Swarthout of Morse, Roland of Elsie, Fred of Alma, Frank
and Lew of Lansing and Will of Owosso.
