He lapsed into a coma late Thursday and was admitted to the hospital Friday morning. Born October 27, 1900, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. LeValley, of Grand Rapids, and had spent most of his life in Ionia. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Surviving him is his wife, Hilda; two children, Richard and Shirley, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Butler of Ionia and Mrs. Mary Swarthout of Ionia township. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Myers funeral home. Burial will be in Balcom cemetery. Subsequent Publication – Wednesday, February 16, 1944 Funeral services for Fred LeValley, 43, of 215 Rich Street, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Myers funeral home. Rev. R. A. Rook, pastor of the St. Johns Lutheran church, officiated, and burial was in Balcom cemetery. Floral arrangements were in charge of Mrs. Martin D. McNamara and Mrs. E. J. Tupper. Pallbearers were William Batson, Joseph Barcelow, Gerald Spaulding, Martin D. McNamara, Lewis Wager and Elton Thorpe. Relatives attending services from away were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Steinke of Onstead., Mr. and Mrs. William Steinke of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Steinke of Grattan, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Steinke of Kalamazoo, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Steinke and Mrs. Ferdinand Steinke of Morley, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Steinke of Big Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Steinke of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gondre of Howard City. Friends from away were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Saxton and Mr. Saxton’s mother, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Gresco, Mrs. George Lynch and Mrs. Tom Kennedy, all of Grand Rapids.
