H. LeValley, a lifelong resident of Ionia County, passed away Sunday evening at his home on the State road. A year ago last spring Mr. LeValley suffered a stroke and since that time he had been in failing health. He had been confined to his bed for a week, but his death was not expected at this time. Mr. LeValley was born in Orange township 73 years ago last June. Mrs. LeValley before her marriage was Miss Jessie Hadden, of near Muir. Had Mr. LeValley lived until the seventeenth of next April they would have celebrated their fifty-third wedding anniversary. Mr. LeValley is survived by his widow and three children, Mrs. Louis Ashe of Ionia; Mrs. Vern Butler of Cedar Springs, and Fred LeValley of Ionia. He is also survived by one brother, John LeValley of South Ionia, two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Benedict of Ionia, and Mrs. France Gaul of Portland, Oregon. The funeral for L. H. LeValley will be held from the last home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will take place at the Balcom cemetery.
