Lena Josephine Lewis, 85, of Ionia passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011 in 
Ionia. Mrs. Lewis was born on March 13, 1926 in Ionia, the daughter of Floyd 
and Mildred (Badder) Emmons. She enjoyed crocheting, nature and Christmas. Lena 
made great wedding cakes and Christmas candy. She worked and retired from the 
Chrysler Trim Plant. Lena married the late Chester Lewis on March 18, 1946.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Lon Lewis and many 
sisters.

Surviving are her children, Loren (Bonnie) Lewis of Ionia, Eric (Stephanie) 
Lewis of Lyons and Curt Lewis of Ionia; eight grandchildren; 11 great 
grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; brothers, Ward (Caroline) 
Emmons, Floyd Emmons, Barry (Bonnie) Emmons and Leonard (Liz) Emmons.

The funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Kenneth Harger at 10:30 a.m., 
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Shiloh Community Church, Orleans. Interment at 
Balcom Cemetery and a luncheon at Shiloh Community Church will follow the 
service. The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday, at the 
Schrauben – Lehman Funeral Homes, 220 Rich St., Ionia.

Church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben – Lehman funeral Homes,
