C.J. Miller had lived in that township continuously for 45 years. C.J. Miller, for 45 years a resident of Sebewa township, died at his home last Tuesday morning at the advanced age nearly 78 years. He had been in feeble health for a number of years, being a sufferer from heart trouble. Mr. Miller, who was one of the most widely known resident of Sebewa township was born in Musser county, Ohio, 78 years ago December 8th next, and came to Michigan about 45 years ago, settling on the 80-acres farm on section 11, Sebewa, where he resided continuously until his death. In 1856, Mr. Miller was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Ann Franks, who, with four children survive. They are Leander and Jacob Miller, Mrs. Nathaniel Buell, Sebewa, John Miller, Portland. Deceased is also survived by two brothers, George and Aaron Miller, both residents of Ohio. Funeral services were held at the late home Thursday morning at 10:00 conducted by Rev. Philo, of the Sebewa W.M. church and interment in the township cemetery. Mr. Miller leaves a large circle of friends in the township where he had resided for so many years, and his memory will long be cherished.
