Ionia Standard - Fri. Nov. 8, 1907

The remains of Mrs. Kate E. Lewis arrived here Saturday evening, and were taken 
to Dildine church, Easton, for funeral. Interment in Easton cemetery. Deceased 
was 54 years of age. Her maiden name was Potter. She was first married to Frank 
Cole, and they were long-time residents of Easton, and were highly esteemed by 
the residents of that town. They went to Nebraska twelve years ago or more, on 
account of development of lung trouble by Mr. Cole. He died there shortly 
afterward, and Mrs. Cole was subsequently married to Chauncey Lewis, who died 
later. Mrs. Lewis died at Steubenville, Ind., Nov. 1. She leaves no children. 
The funeral was attended by a number of friends in the city.
